Man With Bionic Penis Must Live With 2-Week Boner Before He Can Have Sex

Andrew Wardle is a 40-something-year-old virgin, but unlike Steve Carrell’s shy character in the 2005 flick, it isn’t for lack of trying. Wardle has had plenty of luck with women, including his fiance. It’s just that the U.K. man physically can’t have sex, seeing as how he doesn’t actually have a penis. (If only he could borrow a couple inches from this guy.)

Wardle received corrective surgery for an extremely rare bladder condition as a baby, but after docs reinserted his bladder into his body, the operation left him unable to develop a peen. Wardle has undergone more than 100 procedures ever since, and he’s hoping his latest—a bionic penis constructed by doctors—will also be his last, according to The Daily Mail.

Here’s how it works: Doctors fused together parts of Wardle’s skin, muscle, and nerve grafts from his arms to create the penis. They fitted it with cylinders that fill up with fluid when pumped from a small sac in his testicles, which will allow him to have erections. But here’s the kicker: Doctors have to manually turn on that feature, and in order to make sure the bionic penis actually works, Wardle must first deal with an erection that lasts approximately two weeks, per The Daily Mail—which, based on what we learned from the guy with the 14-hour boner, is going to be hella uncomfortable.

Once the nonstop boner subsides, Wardle should finally be able to have sex. Lots and lots of sex.
